A top Trump advisor demolished woke CNN anchor Brianna Keilar in a recent interview, calling out Keilar for lying on air and misconstruing the work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), embarrassing Keilar to the point that she nearly cried.

For context, Stephen Miller, President Trump’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, appeared on CNN on February 18, 2025, and was pressed relentlessly about the structure of DOGE, asking incoherent questions about Elon Musk’s role and consistently misunderstanding Miller’s responses. The interview, which lasted over 13 minutes,  concluded with Miller highlighting Keilar’s inherent bias at the root of her illogical questions.

In the interview, Keilar began by asking Miller who was in charge of DOGE, with Miller responding simply, “The President of the United States,” to which a confused Keilar asked, “He’s the administrator of DOGE?” Keeping his cool and attempting to explain, Miller went on, “DOGE is what was formerly US Digital Services. It’s an agency of the federal government that reports to the Executive Office of the President.”

Continuing with her questions, Keilar failed to grasp the gist of what Miller was trying to tell her, which was simply that President Trump is ultimately in charge of DOGE. In one of the interview’s most embarrassing moments, Keilar asked, “Does Elon Musk know he’s not in charge of DOGE?”

Responding to Keilar, Miller maintained decorum and patience, despite having to explain simple concepts to Keilar. He explained, “The President appoints advisors, including Elon, including myself, including all the other staff here at the White House, and then those staff, in turn, execute the President’s commands and directions to all the agencies of the federal government. This is how democracy works.”

Moving on, Keilar attempted to regain control of the interview, all the while visibly embarrassed by her inability to understand Miller. She told her guest, “Steven, let’s calm down. We’re not having a debate,” to which Miller aptly replied, “You are trying to debate me, and I will be as excited as I want to be about the fact that we are saving Americans billions of dollars and ending the theft and waste and grift (sic)  and corruption.”

Attempting to change the subject, Keilar broached the topic of DOGE’s access to taxpayer information, once again failing to understand the nature of DOGE’s work. When Keilar asked whether DOGE employees could access taxpayer bank account information, Miller responded, “They will not be able to access anything that any other appropriately authorized federal employee could [not] access.”

Near the conclusion of the interview, Keilar began to lose her composure, visibly sniffling and looking teary-eyed as she changed the subject to illegal aliens. Unwilling to back down, Miller called out CNN as a whole, delivering a fatal blow to Keilar’s ego by saying, “I would have to imagine that CNN, which has endlessly talked about the importance of democracy and the rule of law, would say that no class in this country should be above the law, least of all, illegal aliens who trespass on our territory.”
