FBI Director Kash Patel has ordered the release of hundreds of documents related to the agency’s involvement in the J6 riot. He made the decision in response to a subpoena from House Republicans. This comes shortly after footage proved that Nancy Pelosi deliberately refused aid from President Trump during the January 6, 2021 incident.

In the footage, which was filmed by her daughter, Pelosi accepts blame for the disaster. Despite this, Pelosi would spend years and millions of dollars blaming Trump for the situation. Kash Patel wrote a groundbreaking article for The Federalist last summer which says that his testimony, which would have cleared Donald Trump, was barred. He also linked to a video of Pelosi seemingly taking some responsibility for the disorder.

The FBI assistant director, Marshall Yates, wrote a letter on March 7, 2025, in response to the subpoena. According to the Epoch Times, he said, “As a sign of good faith, we are providing this initial production more than a week ahead of the Committee’s subpoena deadline. But this will not be the last production we will send to satisfactorily comply with the Committee’s subpoena. To that end, we are diligently working to completely comply with your subpoenas.”

The dramatic footage of Nancy Pelosi adds credibility to the idea that the deep state willingly allowed the Capitol riot to take place.  “Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?” Pelosi asked in a video recorded by her daughter. “They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more,”‘ Pelosi added.

In the video, Nancy Pelosi is clearly panicked about what transpired and is terrified by the potential backlash. “We have responsibility…we did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have this is ridiculous. You’re going to ask me in the middle of the thing, but they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff that should we call the Capitol Police? I mean, the National Guard? Why weren’t the national guard there to begin with? They thought that they had sufficient there’s not a question of how they don’t know. They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them. Just prepare for more.”

Patel’s piece, which was based on the video clips as well as his own first-hand account of the time, sent shockwaves through D.C., given its content and the focus on how then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi could have been responsible for how poorly things went on that fateful day, The now-FBI Director wrote:

“For years, I have testified under oath, in the media, and everywhere in between that Pelosi and Bowser were responsible for not requesting the National Guard on Jan. 6 after President Trump constitutionally authorized deploying the guard.

“We submitted the best evidence — their own written refusals — to the partisan Jan. 6 Committee. They excluded them from the record despite agreeing to include the letter and timeline.”

“Pelosi did more than just create the unlawful and unconstitutional Jan. 6 committee; she hid evidence directly relevant to a congressional investigation, lied to the world, and decided to spend Jan. 6 filming a movie of herself.”
